ANA rallies at Supreme Court for continued access to health care

The American Nurses Association joined groups representing health care professionals and community health centers for a rally on the steps of the Supreme Court on March 4 to show support for preserving the intent and goals of the Affordable Care Act and maintaining access to affordable health care coverage for millions of Americans.

ANA CEO Marla Weston, PhD, RN, FAAN, and ANA Executive Director Debbie Hatmaker, PhD, RN, FAAN, spoke with media representatives about the impact a King v. Burwell decision that eliminates ACA tax credit subsidies would have on millions of newly insured Americans.

ANA joined an amicus (friend of the court) brief in support of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, respondents in the Supreme Court case.
