Learning the basics of genomics

ANA offers webinars to ensure a solid foundation

Genetic and genomic scientific advances are redefining our understanding of health and illness, necessitating a concomitant shift in graduate nursing education and practice. Nurses prepared at the master’s and doctoral levels are at the interface of translating these genetic and genomic advances into patient care, yet many nurses do not understand the basic language of genomics or how to apply genomics to nursing practice.

ANA CE offers two webinars to assist nurses in developing a basic understanding of genomics and provide competent, patient-centered care:

• Conquering the Basics of Genomics

• Applying Genomics to Your Practice

This series educates nurses on the concepts and vocabulary of genomics and how to translate genomics into nursing practice.
